About Us
Hi, I'm Kervin! The stunning woman beside me is my wife, Kalli. You might be wondering why our wedding photo is front and center on our bakery's "About" page...It’s because my deep love for real, authentic artisan sourdough began on one of our very first dates while courting in our faith.We were sitting on Sanibel Island as the sun set over the water on a warm summer evening. I had packed a simple picnic: a freshly baked sourdough loaf from a friend, sliced Boar’s Head turkey, and cheddar cheese. To this day, I can still picture every detail—a breathtaking sunset painted in the heavens by our Lord, the woman I already knew I was going to marry, and the most incredible loaf of sourdough I’d ever tasted. It was as gourmet as it gets.Shortly after, our friend closed their bakery, and despite looking everywhere, I couldn't find a loaf that ever matched that moment.Fast forward a year later: our baby boy, Ezra, was born. During my paternity leave, I turned to Kalli and said, "I'm going to start our very own family sourdough starter." The rest was history.Today, every time I taste our signature Sanibel Artisan Sourdough, it takes me right back to that beach on Sanibel Island. I’d be honored to share that same wholesome, nutritious loaf with you and your family.See you soon!
